Join Dance King at Solace for Loudoun’s easiest social icebreaker — a beginner-friendly Latin dance mixer held on the last Saturday of each month all summer long.

No partner. No experience. No pressure.

Just good music, movement, drinks, and real people actually interacting again.

How the Night Works
We’ll kick off each hour with a short beginner-friendly lesson:

6:00 PM — Merengue
Easy, upbeat, and the perfect way to loosen up.

7:00 PM — Bachata
Smooth, rhythmic, and built around connection.

8:00 PM — Salsa
Fun, energetic, and the perfect way to end the night.

After each lesson, we open the floor for social dancing, drinks, mixing, mingling, and good vibes all night long.

Michael Winslow is an unparalleled artist renowned for his comedy, acting, and remarkable impressions. With over 75 film and TV credits, he is best known for his unforgettable roles in all seven Police Academy films and Spaceballs. His career reached new audiences when he became a semi-finalist on America’s Got Talent in 2021.
Beyond his on-screen success, Winslow has made significant contributions to the music industry. He has collaborated with notable artists such as Ian Anderson from “Yes,” Victor Wooten, “Run the Jewels,” and “White Animals,” using his extraordinary vocal abilities to create instrumental music. His versatility and creativity in music highlight his innovative approach to creating an original sound.

Known as “The Noise Man,” he has captivated audiences worldwide with his unique talent for making sounds like barking dogs, wet sneakers, jets roaring, spine-tingling scratches from a chalkboard, radio noises, guitars screaming, cell phones, and much more.
His stand-up comedy specials, including “Michael Winslow Live at the Improv” (2006) and “Michael Winslow: Comedy Sound Slapdown!” (2002), showcases his incredible ability to combine all his various talents. Winslow even uses his vocal abilities in “Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas.”

This event will be taking place at the Solace Summer Pop Up at Halcyon Watson in Leesburg.

Learn how to paint your pet in watercolor! Open to all skill levels–we’ll start with the basics!

Paint your pet in watercolor! Before the class, share a photo of your pet to the instructor, Alexandra Schmeling (hello@alexandraschmeling.com) and she will create an outline of your pet in pen to make the painting process easier. This two-hour class will start with the basics of watercolor, so no worries if you’ve never painted before. Then Alex will give you individualized instruction based on your unique pet to create a completed watercolor painting! You will leave with watercolor paints and brushes to continue your painting journey at home.

Parrotheads of all ages are invited to celebrate Jimmy Buffett Day at Solace Brewing Co. in Sterling on Sunday, August 30.  Margaritas and Boat Drinks!  And of course, cheeseburgers!

Panama Rex, a Maryland based Jimmy Buffett Tribute Band will be playing from 3 -6PM.

5PM – Brewery Wide Toast/Sing-a-Long to Jimmy Buffett’s Classic Anthem

Tropical Hawaiian shirts are encouraged!  The louder and brighter the shirt the better.  A limited number of Solace branded Hawaiian shirts will be available with a 15% discount for the day.

A portion of the sales from the day will go to Save the Manatee.  An award-winning national nonprofit 501(c)(3) and membership-based organization established in 1981 by Jimmy Buffett, and the late former U.S. Senator Bob Graham when he was governor of Florida.
